May is American Stroke Month!
As noted in the “About Rock N’ Recovery” section, stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in America, and the leading cause of disability.

Signs that you may be having a stroke:

Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body

Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding

Sudden trouble seeing or blurred vision in one or both eyes

Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination

Sudden severe headache with no known cause

If you, or someone you know, experiences any or all of the above symptoms, time is NOT on your side. Please dial 9-1-1 immediately!! Even if the symptoms suddenly go away, that doesn’t mean the danger has past.
